Simple Faith Baptist Church was founded in 2017 by a group of believers who shared common theological convictions to uphold the Bible as the ultimate authority for all matters of faith and practice.
Brother Carlos continued in his calling to serve the body of Christ as a pastor, a gift he had faithfully demonstrated as an assistant pastor at his previous church. Since his newfound theological convictions were not upheld there, and for charity’s sake, he did not want to be the cause of church division or strife, he peacefully stepped down from his assistant pastor role.
Shortly after, in 2017, this work officially began with a group of believers meeting in a home. Since then, we have been faithfully congregating, baptizing converts, discipling converts, and evangelizing the lost here in Oceanside.
Our pastor has had the privilege of befriending other pastors, from here to India, who share like-minded beliefs and practices, particularly within Baptist churches. These relationships have been a blessing to him over the years, providing personal study through schooling, mentorship, and counsel, but most importantly, true friendships. We acknowledge that churches operate differently (some holding to or maintaining certain traditions or practices), and our pastor has sought to be a blessing to other pastors by focusing on commonalities rather than practical differences.
We hope and pray you find our church to be a local body of believers who love God and recognize that He alone is perfect, and we are not. We are ready and willing to love and help you through all seasons of life, utilizing the Bible as our source of power.

Iglesia Bautista Simple Faith fue fundada en 2017 por un grupo de creyentes que compartían convicciones teológicas comunes: sostener la Biblia como la máxima autoridad para todos los asuntos de fe y práctica.
El Hermano Carlos continuó en su llamado de servir al cuerpo de Cristo como pastor, un don que había demostrado fielmente como pastor asistente en su iglesia anterior. Dado que sus nuevas convicciones teológicas no eran sostenidas allí, y por amor, no queriendo ser la causa de división o contienda en la iglesia, pacíficamente renunció a su función de pastor asistente.
Poco después, en 2017, esta obra comenzó oficialmente con un grupo de creyentes reuniéndose en un hogar. Desde entonces, hemos estado congregándonos fielmente, bautizando conversos, discipulando conversos y evangelizando a los perdidos aquí en Oceanside.
Nuestro pastor ha tenido el privilegio de entablar amistad con otros pastores, desde aquí hasta la India, quienes comparten creencias y prácticas afines, particularmente dentro de las iglesias bautistas. Estas relaciones han sido una bendición para él a lo largo de los años, brindándole estudio personal a través de la formación académica, mentoría y consejo, pero lo más importante, verdaderas amistades. Reconocemos que las iglesias operan de manera diferente (algunas manteniendo ciertas tradiciones o prácticas), y nuestro pastor ha procurado ser una bendición para otros pastores enfocándose en las similitudes en lugar de las diferencias prácticas.
Esperamos y oramos que encuentre que nuestra iglesia es un cuerpo local de creyentes que aman a Dios y reconocen que solo Él es perfecto, y nosotros no lo somos.
